Huge congratulations to Ziana who secured 2nd place at the European Championships in Croatia last weekend🥈

A new European Total Record, and an exciting battle which went right to the wire, with lot numbers and BW playing a pivotal role, it unfortunately didn’t swing our way this time round in getting the W overall.

A fun and exciting prep brought new numbers to light, but we had to play the day with a slightly harder cut than normal and other factors all at play, a little troubleshoot and those numbers will translate and be more accessible for next time out.

9/9

SQ - 220Kg

BP - 105Kg

DL - 258Kg + 4.5Kg PB

Total - 583Kg +2Kg PB

Plenty of big positives to take away, a very competitive last couple of months of high staked competition each time out, you can be incredibly proud of your achievements and performances Ziana!

On we push.

Props and recognition to Erholove for getting the job done in her first open competition. Big thanks to Jake for the handling duties and being on deck, Christian @phoenixpowerlifting for all the assistance with Ziana’s nutrition throughout, and HQ Progress Gym for the support as always 💪🏼

Eman filled his pockets at British University Championships on Sunday getting the W🥇

8/9

SQ - 262.5Kg

BP - 162.5Kg +2.5Kg PB

DL - 325Kg

Total - 750Kg

A real quick turn around from British Juniors just 5 weeks ago, it was important to manage expectations for this one, which he did really well, knowing we weren’t quite cooked we played the day and focused on doing enough to keep the win within reach.

Kilos left in the back pocket across the board but a measured 9/9 was the strategy to get us where we needed.

Big congratulations on a top tier performance mate 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻

On we go 📈

A super fun and exciting session to be apart of with Jesse Sunday where we finished up 3rd at British University Championships 🥉

7/9

SQ - 265Kg +10Kg PB

BP - 172.5Kg

DL - 310Kg +2.5Kg PB

Total - 747.5Kg +10Kg PB

A bittersweet day, but in the end a really positive result for Jesse. With a big old deadlift scrap where 5 of the top 7 missed their final pulls, it was really wide open and not much in it come the end, so was great to see we’d built enough to finish on the podium regardless of misses.

Congratulations on a really solid performance mate, one to really proud of.

Jay ticked off Welsh Championship with a 3rd place finish in the u105s last weekend 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🥉

7/9

SQ - 255Kg +20Kg PB

BP - 152.5Kg +5Kg PB

DL - 255Kg +5Kg PB

Total - 662.5Kg + 30Kg PB 🥉

Another really fantastic effort from this guy, despite falling a touch shy on our main objective this time out, we can still be super pleased when we peal things back. Jay walked away with big PBs and numerous positives from his first Nationals, with external leading up to this one less than ideal, you can be really pleased with your performance mate and shows what you’ve capable of.

An absolute pleasure to coach, a big appetite for more which we can already taste, time to get after it.

danni.jpg

A good day back on the platform for the first time in a little while for Danni at Progress Classic 🥇

Danni and I started working together back in January, with a few injuries to navigate around, so it was great to finally bring together a healthy looking peak for a meet.

We learnt early on, despite Danni’s “itch” to push her loads up, her training didn’t actually respond too well to repetitive bouts of intensity throughout the week, and a slower paced strategy, and better management of fatigue allowed us to be much stronger when we actually required.

Stripping things back then allowed niggles to be prioritised, and keeping things simple has set a much better pathway for extra volume now which I’m excited to see come to the surface.

Apart from a small adjustment needed for her bench on the day, Danni went 8/9 with numbers all well within her capacities, and finished just -12.5Kg below her previous best.

8/9

SQ - 125Kg

BP - 77.5Kg

DL - 155Kg

TOTAL - 355Kg 🥇

Now to get eating, and build towards an exciting end of the yea

Leanne.jpg

Last weekend also saw Leanne take to the platform at ST Christmas Classic.

A day that really shows testament to all her hard work and efforts, with not only a fantastic increase shown in her physical strength, but another huge shift and growth within her mindset coming along for the ride with us again.

9/9

SQ - 200.5Kg + 18Kg New SW Record

BP -  85Kg + 2.5Kg

DL - 180Kg

Total - 465.5Kg + 30.5Kg

Really great to see it all come together for you, another big well done on achieving your goals Leanne.
